NEW! GL OPTICAM 4.0 M SC

Spectrally corrected Imaging Luminance & Color Meter

GL OPTICAM 4.0 M SC Imaging Luminance & Color Meter

A revolution in luminance and color measurements

GL OPTICAM 4.0 M SC imaging luminance camera is an innovative solution on the market of luminance and color distribution measurements. A novelty on the market is the integration of imaging luminance & color measurement with readings from an integrated spectroradiometer in the range from ultraviolet to near infrared. GL OPTICAM 4.0 M SC is not a standard imaging luminance camera, since a single enclosure hosts two separate devices. The addition of spectral power distribution measurements constitutes a rich source of supplementary information about the measured object.

Matrix spectral sensitivity correction

GL OPTICAM 4.0 M SC uses matrix spectral sensitivity correction, which allows for precise acquisition of colorimetric information. As a result of the use of modular technology, spectral distribution and radiance data in the selected regions of interest is available, taking into account the appropriate spectral efficiency.
Dedicated GL OPTICAM SOFT M image processing software enables intuitive and reliable operation of the device, as well as quick processing and assessment of data acquired by the imaging luminance & color meter. The results of analisys can then be presented in the form of a customizable report. The new software allows for establishing a seamless workflow, which effectively simplifies an otherwise complex measurement & analysis process.

Automatic lens detection

This camera system comes preconfigured for immediate luminance & color distribution measurements both in the laboratory and production environment. The device automatically recognizes installed lenses and immediately selects the appropriate calibration file. Fast and precise luminance distribution assessment is now possible using our plug-and-measure imaging luminance camera for LED and other types of light sources.

Sequential measurement

Unique sequential measurement method ensures higher signal levels in comparison to solutions which utilize basic optical filters or beam splitters.

Other features GL OPTICAM 4.0 M SC offers, such as built-in depolarizer promote higher dynamic range and ensure that the system is well equipped to face the challenges associated with measurements of displays.

Simplify production testing

The optical performance of displays, backlit buttons and instrument clusters requires a dependable luminance testing solution. Developers, designers and quality engineers need to verify luminance uniformity, contrasts, luminance distribution and light leakage. With this new optical instrument all touch screen control panels, backlit buttons, displays, keyboards and tell-tale lights can be easily and precisely verified during the R&D and production stage.

GL OPTICAM 4.0 M SC Usage

Imaging Luminance & Color Meter

GL OPTICAM 4.0 M SC offers high resolution and high sensitivity measurements of parameters related to luminance and color distribution. Uniformity of luminance, chromatic cooridinates and CCT of an individual element can be quickly verified using the newest GL Optic instrument.

Evaluation and characterization of displays

Displays and single components manufactures need to test their products at various stages of the production. The new GL OPTICAM 4.0 M SC is a complete solution, featuring a combination of imaging luminance camera with a spectroradiometer to allow for precise determination of luminance and color distrubution within seconds. It is a perfect device for numerous industries, especially for automotive, aviation and display manufacturing, but also for general lighting where it can be used for quality control.

When color matters

There is no longer need to use luminance camera with separate colorimeter. Whenever a lighting fixture or electronic board is utilizing different color LEDs, GL Optic breakthrough color camera will easily provide all colorimetric and spectral data with the highest accuracy.

GL OPTICAM 4.0 M SC Features

Blue light hazard measurements

Blue light hazard weighted function combined with spectral measurement of the backlighting and corrected luminance readings allow BLH assessment for every spot of the tested object based on LB value.

Precise measuring of x,y cooridnates next to L for each pixel

Based on spectral measurements of backlighting sources, sensitivity correction is applied for every pixel of the image resulting in precise reading of color coordinates at every spot of the measured display.
